First Nations Housing Conference

An event created by First Nations for First Nations. This event has been held yearly for the last 21 years to bring together First Nations housing professionals for training and networking opportunities. Formerly known as the First Nations Northern Housing Conference, TAG helped the First Nations Housing Working Group expand the conference membership first from a regional event to Ontario-wide, then to a national event in 2018. Annually, TAG has provided event management services including ongoing event registration and membership, and executed successful marketing campaigns, both traditional and digital, to achieve a national delegate representation from nine provinces and territories.

As a regional conference, TAG created a new brand each year for the event until 2018 when the conference grew to a national level. To support the Working Group’s endeavor to expand FNHC across Canada, TAG created a new brand that would be utilized perpetually. The purpose of the rebrand was to establish a national brand to attract attention and facilitate ongoing brand recognition.

In the last 5 years, TAG has been instrumental in helping to set up of The First Nations Housing (FNH) Community which is a housing resource organization for First Nations, led by First Nations. It is an association where all involved can share information, request assistance and collaborate with other individuals who share the common goal of providing safe, affordable and fair housing solutions to all First Nations communities. TAG played a significant role in First Nations Housing Conference’s 20th year anniversary celebration.
